The Alexandria Police Department is an investigating officer-involved shooting on Wednesday, July 12, at St. Asaph Street and King Street. Initial information is that an APD officer was injured during an assault and discharged their weapon. No one was injured by the shot. The suspect is in custody. The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
