Centreville author Debbie Joski Schmidt has released her first children’s book entitled, “The Adventures of Brownie Mouse, Story One: Brownie’s Brownie Shop.” The story, the first in The Adventures of Brownie Mouse series, follows Brownie Mouse as he moves into his own treehouse in the woods of Mouseville and begins to follow his passion … baking brownies. Local illustrator and aspiring art teacher Carey Wolford provided the illustrations. At the end of each book in the series is a Brownie Recipe for children and their parents to try. In “Story One: Brownie’s Brownie Shop,” the recipe is for Brownie’s Cheesy Chocolate Brownies.
