Police are continuing to chase “all possible leads” in connection with a pair of murders in Burke and Springfield that took place just before Christmas.
Officers found Henok G. Yohannes, 22, dead in his home in the 6400 block of Blarney Stone Ct. in Springfield on Dec. 22.
Kedest Sileshi Simeneh, 22, of Springfield was found dead, slumped against a tree in the 6500 block of Cordwood Ct. in Burke after a homeowner spotted her the morning of Dec. 23.
Fairfax County Police spokesperson Officer Monica Meeks said the two homicides are believed to be related and that investigations are ongoing.
