The annual award is presented to a member of the Custom Builder Council who has provided significant leadership and contributions to both the association and council. Fisher takes an active role supporting the local community through his participation in the Vienna Business Association.
At the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) President's Ball on January 28th, 2017, Robert Fisher of Fisher Custom Homes was awarded the 2016 Custom Builder of the Year. The annual award is presented to a member of the Custom Builder Council who has provided significant leadership and contributions to both the association and council.
"Since joining the association in 2010, Rob has been actively involved in both the overall association and on the Custom Builder Council," said Jon Lindgren, Executive Director of NVBIA. "He served as chairman of the Custom Builder Council in 2016, and, for at least the past three years, has been a co-chair of the association's annual Parade of Homes. Rob has also been an active supporter of our Meet The Builder event each March and his personal involvement has gone a long way in encouraging builders to take part in both the Parade of Homes and Meet The Builder.
"His energetic personality and hands-on leadership style in each of these areas has had a tremendously positive impact on both the Custom Builder Council and NVBIA as a whole."
