Reston District police are investigating after a 22-year-old woman was walking around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14 in Reston, when an unknown man approached her from behind, and dragged her into the nearby woods. The woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 12000 block of North Shore Drive. Once in the woods the suspect tried to remove the victim’s clothing, but then left suddenly. The suspect was last seen in a grey or silver Hyundai fleeing the area. The tag of the Hyundai is thought to begin with the letter, “V.”
