On March 28, Old Town became one more retail spot short. Pendleton Woolen Mills at 417 King St. closed their doors after 33 years in Alexandria. Talisha Milner, a manager at the store, said the closing was part of the Oregon-based company moving in a different direction.
“I’ll miss the customers here,” Milner said. “I’ll miss the Old Town feel. It was a very personal shop. We had a great staff and atmosphere. I liked being able to sell good quality and craftsmanship.”
