Springfield Martial Arts Instructor Arrested on Charges of Sexual Battery of a Child

Renzo Martin Garcia Davila, 29, of Springfield was arrested at home Sunday, Oct. 30 by detectives on charges of aggravated sexual battery of a child.

Renzo Martin Garcia Davila, 29, of Springfield was arrested at home Sunday, Oct. 30 by Fairfax County Police Major Crimes Division, Child Abuse Section detectives.

Davila was charged with aggravated sexual battery of a child, police said.

A six-year-old girl told an adult Saturday, Oc. 29 she had been touched inappropriately by a man. It was escalated quickly to Fairfax County Police and Child Protective services.

Their investigation rapidly identified Davila, known as “Garcia,” police said as a suspect, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.

Police said he was a Martial Arts instructor at “Lead By Example” on Huntsman Blvd. in Springfield, a soccer coach for Springfield South County Youth Club until July of this year, and an instructor at The Montessori School in Chantilly.

Police think there may be other victims of similar crimes. They’re asking anyone concerned their children may have had inappropriate contact with Davila to communicate with Detective M.J. Hengemuhle at 703-246-3086.
