Alexandria — We are concerned that neither Presidential candidate, nor our Congressional candidates, have emphasized the importance of keeping Social Security financially strong. Neither have they given enough specifics on what their plans are for the future of this very important program.
If appropriate action is not taken, all generations will be adversely affected. Not just us retiring Baby Boomers, but also our children, their children, etc. Social Security is not an entitlement. We have paid into this program all our working lives.
All our working lives, we have contributed so we could have the retirement we expected. We are just a few days from our Federal elections. We would like for all candidates to give us specifics on how they plan to update and protect this important program.
