George “Booger” Butt, 79, of Fredericksburg died on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016.
He retired as a professional firefighter with the Alexandria Fire Department.
George is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; sons, George E. “Gene” Butt, III (Terry) and Gary Butt (Kelly); three grandchildren, Jennifer, Erica, and Matthew; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, George’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 101, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
