A 85-year-old woman who was injured in an Aug. 12 crash died on Sunday, Aug. 16. She has been identified as Nancy Schade, of the Fairfax area.
Police were called to the intersection of Braddock Road and Roberts Road for the two-vehicle crash around 2:12 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16.
A police investigation determined that a 47-year-old Chantilly-area man was driving a 2000 Ford van east on Braddock Road. The woman, driving a 2001 Cadillac, was traveling west on Braddock Road. The Ford van attempted to turn left on Roberts Road, in the path of the oncoming Cadillac. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver and passenger in the van were not injured.
