Students from Elegant Dancing in Fairfax, Keira Lyn Cheng, 8, of Fairfax, with her partner Aidan Goggin, 11, of Herndon, represented Fairfax at Atlantic Ballroom's "Shining Stars Ballroom Dance Festival." Dancing in the bronze category, the youth couple won the Latin 5 dance challenge and in the individual dance events took first in samba and paso doble, second in rumba and jive, and third in cha cha against three other couples in their age category. Their next planned competition will be the Yuletide Ball in McLean in December.
