To the Editor:
Theodore Roosevelt once said that the credit belongs to those who are in the arena. Craig Parisot should be commended for stepping into the arena in what he knew would be a tough fight. Northern Virginia is becoming increasingly polarized and competitive and, as a result, the cost, both financially and personally, of running for office here is exorbitant. Respected incumbents declined to run for reelection this year, no doubt in part because of this strain. Craig knew what he was walking into, but he did it anyway out of a desire to serve his
community. Thank you Craig Parisot for entering into the arena. I hope you are not done fighting.
