Herndon native and track and field paralympian Josh George has officially been named to BMW’s elite Performance Team roster for the Rio Games. George joins seven other U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes who will not only receive financial support from BMW, but will have access to BMW resources and technologies as they train for the world’s biggest stage. This unveiling follows BMW’s August announcement of its plan to develop a new racing wheelchair for use in the lead up to and during the Rio Games.
