Women’s Center Conference to Honor Women Leaders in McLean

Journalists Katty Kay and Claire Shipman, authors of “The Confidence Code: The Science and Art of Self-Assurance -- What Women Should Know” (HarperCollins, 2014) will be among the awardees at The Women’s Center’s 29th Annual Leadership Conference on Saturday, April 11. “The Confidence Code” is a follow-up to their New York Times best-selling book, “Womenomics: Work Less, Achieve More, Live Better.”

“The Confidence Code” is a practical guide to help women of all ages and at all stages of their careers to understand the importance of achieving and maintaining confidence in the workplace. “For almost three decades, The Women’s Center’s Leadership Conference has been a remarkable forum where women have come together to share with each other, building their confidence by networking with other professionals, attending insightful workshops and learning from local and national leaders,” said Shirley Clark, CEO and Executive Director of The Women’s Center.

Over 750 women and men are expected to attend the Conference to be held at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner. Other honorees for the conference who will speak from the Main Stage include:
