Bishop Paul S. Loverde visited Good Shepherd Catholic Church to take part in a Jubilee Mass in celebration of its 50th anniversary on May 30.
The religious institution on Mount Vernon Highway held multiple events over the course of the weekend, including a luncheon on Friday May 29 for “founding families” and the mass on Saturday.
Sunday, the Knights of Columbus Mount Vernon Council 5998 provided a pancake breakfast and hot dogs and hamburgers at the church throughout the day.
More than 1,000 people attended the weekend’s activities.
