Every Saturday morning, Oliver Keckler wakes up early to load a truck full of fresh fruits and vegetables and bring them to a farm stand located on Fort Hunt Road in the parking lot of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Alexandria.
The farm stand has a variety of fruits, vegetables and berries. Keckler's sister-in-law bakes homemade pies and breads and a large selection of jams and jellies as well.
Peaches, cantaloupes and heirloom tomatoes are just several of the fresh, in-season fruits which he brings every week. The farm stand has been open every Saturday 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. since May 2 and will continue until December.
