Sumitra Barua stood at the entrance of the Lee Center auditorium and handed out a rose to each guest who entered on Feb. 14. It was an evening of Falguner Bhalobasha, a Valentine’s Day concert filled with folk, modern and traditional Bengali and non-Bengali music. The concert also featured dances, a fashion show and music from the band, Ripple.
Tone and Tune is a multi-cultural musical & entertainment based organization. Their mission is to raise cultural awareness in Bengali and sub-continental community in the means of organizing and hosting events throughout the year.
