The public is invited to attend the formal City Council installation ceremony on Monday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. in the T.C. Williams High School Auditorium, 3330 King St.
New mayor, Allison Silberberg, and new Council member Willie Bailey will be sworn in with re-elected incumbents John T. Chapman, Timothy B. Lovain, Redella S. "Del" Pepper, Paul C. Smedberg, and Justin Wilson.
On Sunday, Jan. 3, Silberberg is hosting an "Installation Celebration” at the George Washington Masonic Temple on Sunday, Jan. 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend and it is free and open to the public. No RSVP is necessary and refreshments will be served.
