Fairfax County Fire Station 9/Mount Vernon gained new signs thanks to Scout Zachary Cooper of Troop 301. The signs were for the station’s Open House, held annually during National Fire Prevention Week. Zac approached the fire station looking for ways to complete his Eagle Scout Project and help his community. Together, he and the firefighters established the idea of creating the new signs for the station. Zac formulated a plan, obtained all the equipment (wood, hardware, paint, etc.), gathered neighborhood friends, and constructed them.
