The community room at the Annie B. Rose House was a buzz of activity as students from Burgundy Farm Country Day School joined senior residents to assemble emergency go-kits in January. The volunteers assembled 250 emergency go-kits for the Volunteer Alexandria Emergency Preparedness Project. Each kit contains a medical record card to be filled in by the recipient, a flashlight, body and hand warmers, a blanket and hand sanitizer. The items were placed in bright orange backpacks and were distributed to residents in the Cora Kelly neighborhood.
