For the fifth year, artists filled the Nicholas A. Colasanto Park offering their work for sale at the annual Del Ray Art Market. More than 25 artists have signed up for the monthly market. The market is held on the second Saturday of the month from May through October.
The original artwork includes painting, photography, pottery, jewelry, and glasswork.
The Nicholas A. Colasanto Park is located next to the Del Ray Artisans gallery at 2704 Mount Vernon Ave. (corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Mount Vernon Avenue). The event is held rain or shine, and is free and open to the public. The market also features musical performances from 12-2 p.m. Featured musicians include Flo Anito (June 14), Back Alley Blues Boys (July 12), Mike Durham (Aug. 9), Jana Audey (Sept. 13) and Snakehead Run (Oct. 11).
