Two local high school students, Julia Chirite from Langley High School and Arthur Tisseront from Thomas Jefferson, will travel to South Africa this September as participants in the World Youth Rhino Summit, an international anti-poaching and conservation initiative sponsored by the Kashmir World Foundation where the two students currently intern at.
The two delegates were selected to represent the United States along with 100 other students from around the world. On Sept. 18, Julia and Arthur will carry with them to South Africa donations of school supplies for disadvantaged South African children. Community members interested in helping are requested to bring donations of school supplies to the donation box located at the Starbucks in the Great Falls
Village.
