‘Bang the Drum Slowly’ Opens at TACT
The American Century Theater begins the new year with its production of “Bang the Drum Slowly” by Mark Harris and adapted for the stage by Eric Simonson. A look at life, loyalty and America's pastime, the drama unfolds during a season with the Mammoths, focusing on the friendship between a world-wise star pitcher and a country boy catcher struggling to cope with devastating news. “Bang the Drum Slowly” opens Friday, Jan. 10 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 1 with a Pay-What-You-Can preview on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. and a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. There is a post-show talk-back on Thursday, Jan. 16.
