To The Editor:
Often one may have a brief conversation with his or her neighbors and sometimes the conversation leaves one with a question of what to do. And that’s an issue I find myself facing.
On behalf of a child, I spoke to the mother about how the young child wanted to be transferred from the neighborhood school because of being picked on by other students and how mean they are. I briefly explained about aggressive pushing and shoving to the ground repeatedly.
At some point I spoke to the mother and all the while she wasn't aware of this was going on and she was grateful I told her. I expressed that her child learn self defense — good for discipline and balance.
