Social Action Linking Together (SALT) and four co-sponsor groups will host “Fairfax County (NOVA) Candidate Meet & Greet Forum” on Saturday, Sept. 28, 9 to 11 a.m. in Patriot Hall at The Vienna American Legion Post 180. The address is: 330 Center St. N., Vienna. The phone number is 703-938-9535.
Representatives of the sponsoring groups will moderate the forum. The public is invited.
The co-sponsors represent networks of direct service providers and individuals shaping public policy in support of vulnerable Virginians. Co-sponsors are non-partisan—the focus is on issues, not candidates. The co-sponsors include Virginia Organizing (VO), Virginia Coalition of Latino Organizations (VACOLAO), Citizens United for Rehabilitation of Errants-VA (CURE), Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Action (HOLA) and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).
“Candidate Meet and Greet” forum is an opportunity for constituents to introduce themselves and their concerns to state legislators and non-incumbent candidates before the fall elections. Incumbents with challenger candidates whose districts cover all or part of Fairfax County have been invited.
