In partnership with Fairfax County, Cox Communications celebrated Black History Month at the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality event, a celebration of culture and heritage held at the Fairfax County Government Center Forum & Board Auditorium in Fairfax on Friday, Feb. 22. This is the ninth year Cox has partnered with Fairfax County to present this public event.
“At Cox, we embrace diversity both in the workplace and in our community,” said J.D. Myers, II, market vice president, Northern Virginia Operations for Cox Virginia. “We are pleased to partner with Fairfax County to present such a culturally-rich event; furthermore, it is an honor to celebrate the talent, heritage and successes of the African American community in Fairfax.”
In addition to partnering with Fairfax County, Cox has provided culturally relevant, local programming highlighting African American heritage and culture. This content was available at no additional charge for Cox subscribers on DEMAND throughout the month of February.
