Selling Lemonade in Support of Purple Camps
Maya Chowdhary, 5, held a lemonade stand on July 4 in Great Falls to raise money for military children connected to the National Military Families Association (NMFA). Maya has raised more than $200 and she hopes the NMFA will donate this money to the Operation Purple Camps, which help children of recently deployed members of the military attend summer camp. Maya’s family has heard that, due to sequestration, many children were unable to attend camp this year.
