Less than two years ago, four young musicians from across the nation came together in California and adopted their name in tribute to "The Golden State.” Since winning the 2011 Fischoff and 2012 Chesapeake chamber music competitions, they have gone on to the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado and the Emilia–Romagna Festival in Italy.
A pre-concert lecture, part of the "Insider's Guide to Music" series, will be held at 4 p.m. on the day before the concert Saturday, March 2, at the Dolly Madison Library, 1244 Oak Ridge Ave., McLean. This class is free and open to the public.
