Maude Hair Salon of Herndon has won the Redken Salon of the Year “Up and Comer” Award. Co-owners Vanessa Rose, Celeste Williams and Tina Jay were presented this honor at a reception during the 2013 Redken International Symposium in Las Vegas last month.
In addition to providing in-salon trainings for their staff, Maude Hair Salon has attended over 20 classes at the Redken Exchange in New York City over the past year to provide the best possible service for their clients. The salon has also embraced Redken’s newly launched Facebook Toolkit as a way to grow their business. As co-owner Vanessa Rose says, “learning how to use technology as a way to promote retail and service opportunities to our guests has made us more efficient and more organized.”
Maude Hair Salon is also active in community service activities, setting aside $4K to support school fundraisers and local charities. “From the moment we opened our doors, we decided that we would embrace and support our local community as well as young talent. We have a responsibility to make a difference in the lives of our team and the community we serve,” said Rose.
While in Las Vegas, Owners Vanessa Rose, Celeste Williams and Tina Jay, along with 14 members of their salon team, joined 10,000 hairdressers from around the globe to take part in the salon industry’s premiere educational event. The classes ranged from learning the latest trends and techniques in hair design and color, to digital and business building best practices.
During the Symposium, Redken hosted a special award ceremony paying tribute to the outstanding achievements of their Elite Salons, the crème de la crème of their group. Winning the Redken Educational Excellence Award places Randolph’s Salon at the top of this list when it comes to outstanding performance across the country.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued at an exclusive concert with Grammy Award nominees, One Republic.
“Maude Hair Salon is a shining example within the professional salon industry of how to successfully market their business as well as provide ongoing education for their staff and the best possible service for their guests,” notes Shae Kalyani Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Redken.
