The media have probably not printed all the important information the jury considered. Various columnists have pointed out different significant points, so the public has a scattered version of events. The jurors said the case was decided according to Florida law, but they didn't like the result. It seems the best course is to address the problems with that law.
We Virginians, prompted by this event, might want to reexamine our own laws and practices to avoid future tragedies.
