Chantilly — Chantilly’s Eric Latcheran and Centreville’s Kevin Whalen are both participating Oct. 20 in the annual Best Buddies Challenge in Washington, D.C. Event proceeds directly benefit local schools — including Centreville, Chantilly and Westfield high schools — containing Best Buddies chapters.
Last Thursday, Oct. 11, Glory Days Grill in Centreville hosted a fundraiser which yielded $1,000 toward the cause. Washington Redskins running back Evan Royster, a 2006 Westfield High grad, thrilled the crowd with a special appearance.
