The Lake Braddock Secondary School Odyssey of the Mind team has won the right to compete at the World Level Competition to be held at Iowa State University May 22-26. International and U.S. teams progress to the World Level after rigorous competition at the regional and state levels. Team members are CheyAnne Rivera, Crystal Luong, Rusty Ford, Noah Woodruff, Nick Wilcher, Nan Denette and Ryan Ford.
This year the team chose the problem of Odyssey Angels. The team creates and presents a performance where students travel throughout one or more team-created places where they encounter negative situations. These "Odyssey Angels" change what they find and turn them into positive situations. On their journey, they help two individuals with different problems and help save an entire community from a bad situation. One Odyssey Angel cannot speak, and another has a special team-created power.
