Centreville — At MountainView Alternative High School’s senior luncheon on June 13, Casey Turbok won the $1,000 TurnAround Life Award. “This financial award can give the student a jumpstart on the next leg of their life’s journey,” said Lauren Kirby, TurnAround, LLC, president. “It’s intended to recognize their graduation achievement and help the student enroll in further education, pay on a debt, or get into a car or apartment. With Casey's award, TurnAround Life has awarded $10,000 to MounainView seniors.” In addition, Casey and all the luncheon’s attendees received a key chain engraved “Forever Changed.” The key chain is a reminder of what MountainView has done for them as they leave the school and head off into the responsibilities of adulthood.
Casey plans to use the funds to enroll at Northern Virginia Community College for the fall semester.
