Alexandria The Office of the Arts, in partnership with the Alexandria Commission for the Arts is putting out a “call for artists” for area visual artists to submit their work for display in the City’s galleries. This is an opportunity for area artists to gain exposure for themselves and their work. Individual artists, groups of artists, and organizations who live and work in the city of Alexandria are eligible.
Each exhibition will run for six months. There is no exhibition theme. All two-dimensional media will be accepted. All work must be original and no giclee reproductions will be admitted. Please be sure that the work is finished and ready for display and hanging.
Visit www.alexandriava.gov/arts for more information and application forms. In order to be considered, artists should submit a completed application form, a resume, a PC-compatible CD or DVD containing up to 12 images of your work (numbered and titled), and no more than one page describing the work, the artist’s statement, and a description of the artist.
