A public hearing on the future of Reevesland will be held on March 8, 7 p.m. at the Walter Reed Community Center, 2909 16th St. S.
The Reeves farmhouse, outbuildings and remaining land are a historic resource for Arlington County as the remaining remnants of what was once one of many family dairy farms from the 19th and early-20th-century landscape in the Northern Virginia area. The local historic designation of the farmhouse and remaining land by Arlington County has ensured that it will be preserved but finding an appropriate adaptive reuse is the next step to keeping the structure usable for future generations.
Arlington County will issue a Request for Proposal to attract individuals or organizations to commit to rehabilitating the structure for a new use.
