The 2013 BalletNova Young Choreographers Competition launches in September and is open to residents of Northern Virginia. Applicants must submit a videotape via YouTube plus a short essay and recommendation from their teacher. Five finalists will be chosen virtually by a slate of internationally recognized judges, and then the public is invited to vote for their favorite choreographer through Facebook.
