A new locally owned and operated bakery opens in Herndon this week, The Boutique Bakeshop, open Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays for pick-up only.
Owners Stephanie Baker and Evan Sanderson keep shorter hours during the week because they spend the majority of the weekend decorating and delivering custom cakes and wedding cakes.
The Boutique Bakeshop serves up muffins, scones, brownies, cookies, cupcakes and cakes as well as "Bakeshop Boxes," an order-ahead assortment of the days baked goods.
