Personal Safety for Women will be held in four parts, May 15, 17, 22 and 24 from 7-10 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., S.E. Officer Virginia Palmore of the Vienna Police Department will teach basic crime prevention and risk reduction measures, plus physical self-defense techniques to help women be more confident in an attack situation. Leadership Fairfax Inc. (LFI), a nonprofit organization, is seeking candidates for its two leadership programs; the Leadership Fairfax Signature program and the Emerging Leaders Institute program.
