Angie Magruder's one-woman art exhibition, "A Romance with Watercolor," ends its one-month run at the Reston Community Center with a "end of show" get-together from 2-4 p.m. The event is free. Arts Reception. The League of Reston Artists will have an opening reception from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for the Annual Judged Fine Arts Exhibition at the National Center Gallery of the U. S. Geological Survey. The exhibition will feature works of fine art by metro-Washington, D.C. artists and will be judged by artist, Libby Stevens. Exhibition runs from July 30ÐAug. 31.

The Herndon Police presents the 21st Annual National Night Out, which features the police motorcades at stop between 4:30-9 p.m. in participating neighborhoods, which include Harbor House, Dumbarton Square, Parkway Plaza, Four Seasons, Dominion Ridge, Monroe Street, Herndon Woods, Herndon Oaks, Virginia Avenue, Jefferson Mews, Waterford Park, Stuart Woods, and Crestview, as well as the Herndon Community Center. Jimmy's Old Town Tavern will host an amateur golf tournament to benefit the Council for the Arts of Herndon at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course, 909 Ferndale Ave. The tournament will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
