Many Park View students and teachers are anticipating the coming summer, as the school year draws to a close in seven weeks. It officially became known that there was only one final quarter left when report cards were distributed on April 22. To recognize students who made the Honor Roll for three consecutive grading periods, the PTSA will hold a ceremony on May 7 at 7 p.m. in the Park View Auditorium. Scholarship drawings will also take place that evening.
Park View's Step Team competed on April 25 at Stomp Fest, which was held in the River Bend Middle School Auditorium. Various teams from Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William County competed in the event.
Seniors Jason Flatley, Ronnie Hoover, and Jeff Wortman were selected to participate in the Loudoun County All Star Jazz Honor Band.
Park View's First Annual Prom Dress Swap was held on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Park View. Many dresses, shoes, and accessories were purchased for the upcoming Prom on May 31.
The Boy's Tennis Team beat Sherando 5-4 on April 23. Sophomores Andy Jackson and Mitch Witte won their singles matches, as Juniors Lavie Sak and Mike Pingley won both their singles and doubles matches.
The Girl's Tennis Team was also successful in their matches against Sherando on April 23. Senior Jennifer Sohn won her singles match 8-0 as Amanda Morris, Christine Chin, and Stephanie Mallory all won in doubles.
